Wow!  Great find.  Maybe this will put the fire under the OpenPilot folks.  All that for less than the price of a Naza/GPS combo too.

The board is an impressive and interesting collection of sensors and processing power, but it's really just a "component" and not a "system".  This is a very very long ways from being something that you could put in your quad and fly.  By the time this is integrated into a flight control system, I think your NAZA is going to be looking really good to you again.  This will probably go the way of the gumstix.  I know a lot of guys that bought those, but I don't know of a single person that has used one in a practical application or any sort of real product.  The biggest market for this kind of thing seems to be universities.  They do a lot of interesting things with them, but what they build really never sees the light of day.  It will be interesting to follow this one and see where it goes.

Tiger - After reading your post I dug in a little deeper and also saw that the board sounds really nice, but it is not a finished product.  There is zero software available and it also needs a good ground station like OpenPilot.  Too bad.  All that really cool hardware isn't really worth much without some really good software.

Yup!  It needs software, firmware, and a lot of hardware actually.  You notice there are no ESC or servo friendly IO/s there at all.  Also no power distribution system or other support hardware.  Furthermore, it's really not in a very nice form factor for what we'd like to do with it.  Like I said, it's just a "component" or perhaps a "subsystem".  Still, it's a really interesting development and worth watching.  What impresses me most with that entire series of boards is the density of the electronics.  The density is amazing!  I'm glad I don't have to lay that pc board out!  :)

One of the developers chimed in on the OpenPilot boards about the project when he saw some of those folks flaming the Navstik project.  All is well now and the world is a better place.  8)

I agree with 'OpenPilot' they should have released it's drivers at the product launch ...
... NOT later, apparently the 'drivers' are coming SOON according to 'Navstik'

And I also agree with the position as to teh question of NO software,
being able to 'TEST' the product out of the BOX ...
... w/ some basic functionality would only serve to make their 'offering' more, somewhat more attractive
