Sup yall, just traded mh hyper 7 buggy for a traxxas revo 3.3 with a split con rod and done for piston and sleeve. So far I was able to install some goodies and pulled the trigger and scored a revo specific picco.26 max engine and should be here soon. The goodies I installed Rpm arms-blue Robinson steel gen 3 slipper/ spur Vantage carbon fiber chassis Proline premounted badlands on desparado rims I need to rebuild the shocks or just get some of those sick red gsr shocks and fill em with some 55wt oil and run #2 pistons with green springs in the front and gold in the rear. I also need to get a reverse lockout conversion and ditch the wee servo and whole box its all in and just mount the throttle servo by itself. I have a couple other tricks up my sleeve too but that's it for now, here's a few pics. Any expert revo guys please chime in cuz this is my first revo so I'm not super keen on set ups for this style suspension.
That's got to be the nicest piece of carbon fiber work I've ever seen for any type of RC model. Usually any carbon fiber parts for RC models are flat cut-outs. Who makes that? Do you have a link to their website? What are GSR shocks? Is that a brand?
Here's a link http://www.vantageracing.com/site/home.html It's vantage racing and its bad ass! I scored a brand new one so this one will be up for sale soon. The far shocks are traxxas upgrade,I think its gsr its gs something lol. I got my new motor today,a picco max .26 with a ths pipe and header. It's pretty awesome and loads of power, got 3 heat cycles in today and will finish the break-in tomorrow.
Thanks for the link to the website. They make some really great parts. Now if they would make a cool Slash 4x4 or a OFNA Hyper 10SC chassis...
Yeah I love carbon fiber. Just got the rear true trac suspension and its awesome. It's almost broke in all the way so I can bring it to B st soon.
Almost done with this build and almost done breaking it in too. Installed the optional red annod pushrods, red annod tube front toe links, forward only steel gears and red gtr shocks I can't wait to run with other revo owners so i can see the difference. Might be up for jumping it at B st after I tune the shocks a bit more. Seems like 60wt is too thin for the rears so I'm gonna try #2 pistons and go from there.
Smells like a challenge...... ;D Nice E-Revo BTW! I will be curious to see how you setup your GTR Shocks. Mine bottoms out often when jumping and I haven't changed the suspension from stock. I plan on doing the VDP kit with #2 pistons and 70Wt all around but haven't had the funds.
What's the vdp kit? I ran #2 pistons with 60wt all around seems to handel real good. Don't know if I mentioned it but I went forward only with rr steel gears, took out the reverse servo, optidrive and sensor. I have a kit coming to eliminate the receiver box and throttle servo box with carbon fiber decks. Painted a gmc topkick body yesterday and I did it in a hurry cuz I gots no patients

On compression, there are 2 holes, on rebound, there are 4 holes as the oil pushes the plate open. Its a must for large jumps. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_25_1466_74/products_id/25835/n/Traxxas-GTR-Shocks-Variable-Damping-Kit
