How do you like my new Dodge Stratus body?  I didn't like the stock giant fugly wing that came with it so I modded it.

Thank you.  I plan to use this body for drifting and don't need much downforce that the big original wing style gives.
I got some new drift tires but it's hard to get them on the wheel because they are hard.  Someone told me I need to heat them with a heat gun or hair dryer but I didn't try it yet.

I could have gotten pre-mounted drift tires but I wanted a particular HPI wheel with a +3 mm offset. I tried heating them a little with a hair dryer and got one side on but I think I didn't heat them enough and they cooled before I could get the other side over the lip of the rim. Have to give it another go.

The car is a Associated TC3 with upgraded aluminum body shocks (Associated I think) and sway bars.  Power is with a Castle Creations Sidewinder Sport 1/10 scale brushless motor and ESC combo.
The car has been sitting for half a year since I got some new drift tires and separate wheels because after diddling around with a hair dryer one afternoon trying to heat the tires enough to get them over the wheels I gave up.  I may need a better heat source like a real heat gun to get the tires on and just haven't gotten around to it.

    EDIT:
I should mention that the body paint is a gradient that the photos do not do justice to.  The lower body is a purple metallic and the upper is blue metallic.  It's my second clear body paint job with a rattle can and I am happy with the results.  I have a short course body that I will paint next for my 1/10 SC truck and I want to try some masking this time to get a pattern.

I need some suggestions for fabricating headlight and taillight "buckets" to mount inside a lexan body that will hold LEDs in place.  The problem is getting the angle right for the various bodies I have so the headlights dont point up in the sky or down on the ground.

Anybody found a good way to do this?

GPS, when you find out let me know lol.  I have a head/tail light kit for my TC4 that I haven't dug into yet.

    Will do.

I got a RAM LED light kit a while back and I seem to recall that it came with some generic polycarbonate light buckets.  I will see if I can find where I put them.  I am still looking at this though as I want to make some lights on a couple bodies I have in stock.
