Want to add realistic, or not realistic, sound to your electric airplane, helicopter, car or boat?  Model Sounds, Inc. makes a cool sound module that can be programmed with many different sounds and they will even make custom sounds for you.

    Check it out!

    Made in Canada!

I suppose if one likes that sort of thing ... I would wonder if this thing could be really LOUD enough and flying two heavy speakers into the air would seem counter productive. Meh, I would rather use any weight capability the aircraft had to take a decent camera into the air

Generally speaking if I really don't like something I usually don't say anything but I would be embarrassed not only fly this but to say it was Made in Canada!! If they hadn't said that I would have kept my mouth shut ... Sorry and I really don't like being this negative and try to look for the good in anything I'm looking at, but with this product it's just not coming!

This Sound Module "what's it" seems to be a silly product IMO [IMG] [IMG]

We have so much of our RC hobby stuff made in China that I thought it was cool that there was a company in Canada making something instead of off-shoring it.

I read they can get 109 db out of that board and their speaker(s), but I hear you with the weight.  I also would, given the choice, choose my video/camera gear if it came down to one or the other.

I thought it would be cool though to have a old-school vintage film "flying saucer" sound programmed into one of these for my quad.  But that's jut me.

My TRex 450 produces 98 dba @ 1 meter, yup I measured and my 500 I'm sure is louder ... 109 db would hardly get above that ... and manufactures like to fudge their numbers so I would take their numbers with a grain of salt. Sure as a novelty or just for FUN I might want this but it's jus too fake for my tastes

At the local train park the locomotives are powered by Briggs and Stratton engines, but a few guys have installed sounds like this. It does sound really good, deep bass diesel sounds. But I heard the sound thing costs over $1,000.00

Sure on the ground where they can bring large or largish speakers and BIG amps you could get a BIG sound. I just don't believe a couple little 4" speakers flying around in a heli or plane 100 or so yards away can produce a convincing sound ... I suppose seeing is believing, this I would have to hear
