Most here will know of these anyway so for the 'Searcher'n Lurkers' Low-Self-Discharge, acronym LSD {LMAO} or LD rechargeable NiMH batteries because having a charged ready to go battery is important for me. So with this in mind I think the following will fit the bill quite nice. Conventional NiMH batteries (non LD) at an approximate capacity loss of 10% after the first 24hrs and 1% per day after will loose just over ½ of their capacity near month's end. Most of the following rechargeable batteries will have a capacity of 85% at year's end, with a cycle life of 1500 times, give or take. ... The 'eneloop' brand are claimed to hold their charge for 5 years and 1,800 cycles ...
