    So I picked up this roller from Pile of Toys yesturday with the intention of converting it to electric power.

    Here is what I have found so far...

    Direct bolt-in EP motor conversion for almost all .21 nitro engines!

    Steel 46T ring gear and any tooth-count steel pinion I'll need from...

    Haven't made a definite decision for motor/ESC. Need a setup for 1/8 scale off road - any suggestions? Looking to run twin 3s saddle packs in parallel as I already have so many ;)

    Here are some suggestions I've seen for a OFNA GTP-2e build:

    Hobby King
    150 amp ESC
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10370__Hobby_King_150A_High_performance_Brushless_Car_ESC.html

    Turnigy TrackStar 4068 2560KV 1/8th Brushless Motor
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__19682__Turnigy_TrackStar_4068_2560KV_1_8th_Brushless_Motor_USA_Warehouse_.html

    Hobby King also has several other motors like a 2100 kv and 2300 kv, but they didn't have the cooling fins on the body like the one I've listed above.

    This is what I am running in my OFNA GTP-2e:

    Mamba Monster ESC
    http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_223/products_id/28090/n/Castle-Creations-Mamba-Monster-1-8th-Scale-Brushless-ESC

    Mamba Monster 2200 kv motor
    http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_221_1359/products_id/64241/n/Neu-Castle-1515-1Y-1-8-Brushless-Motor-2200kV

    Both the above Mamba components are available as a combo:

    WOW - there is a HUGE savings buying the Mamba items in the combo! $410 seperately vs $330 in the combo!

    I've been looking at a couple combos already...

    First Tekin:
    Rx8 ESC http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=tl2109
    SC4X Motor http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=tl2120

    Second Castle:
    Mamba Monster/Neu-Castle 2650kv http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=tl1978

    The Mamba I'm looking at is the 2650kv vs the 2200kv. But AMain has the combo for $50 cheaper! Maybe they'll have the 2650 in a combo... I'll take a look and hopefully make a decision soon

    I've ordered a lot from them.  I would say their website is kinda lame, like Tower Hobbies, but their service is as good as any other online shop.

    MIKE=score!...I found schematics,part #'s, and the manual (steel main gear 46 tooth #KYOIFW03)retail $26.00----plastic main gear= (46t KYOIF022)-or (KYOC4562 manufacture #IF-022) retail $7.99- the KYOSHO stuff is all yours, I will make sure you get it on the next visit ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,NOW to call Betty and Gene, about some OFNA parts----you might find your parts sitting at a local shop gathering dust somewhere,waiting to be clearanced-I know Gene and Betty used to have boxes of 1/8 scale stuff unshelved...you can cross MP5 & MP6's-not sure about the others-MP6 may have been a longer chassis (?)=longer center drive axles(?)

    Found the spur and pinion gears @ RCBoyz.com. I'll get them ordered this weekend along with the EP conversion. Motor/ESC will probably have to wait though - thin wallet syndrome ;)
