Improvising and general helpful hints

Okay guys and gals, most every one has at one time or another came up with an idea or found one of something RC related that works pretty slick, saves money or makes something easier.
I have seen many here.
Finding them again after a week or so is a different story.  :
How about making a sticky for stuff like this for folks to post their ideas so all can find them easier? I was thinking mostly of things that would cross all aspects of the hobby here. Then perhaps one for a specific topic, Helis, Crawlers, Airplanes, etc.

Any thoughts on the idea?

Have you tried the search tool?  The search bar in the upper right of the page is like a "quick search" but the one from the menu (Home | Help | Search ...) is the comprehensive/advanced search.

People should keep their posts organized in the forums by topics and the advanced search will turn up anything in the context of the search criteria.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but say for example someone is writing a build topic and during the build they describe a idea on how to do something.  That idea would be best kept in the build topic because it is pertinent to the build.  If the person writing the build topic wrote the idea in another topic it would be more work for the author and make following the build difficult.

Yes, something like that, and it probably wouldn't have to be stickied. The only reason I mentioned stickied is that it keeps it at the top and easily accessed.
