    Hobby King Hex Nightmare
It started with a DJI F450 and Naza-M. Rock solid machine, and fun - fun.
Learning curve was quick, and it survived the pilot mistakes.
    Time to try a Hex.
    Hobby King Hex Frame
    6 - NTM 28-30s 900kv Motors
    6 - Afro 30 Controllers
    Naza-M
    Hitec Receiver
Took forever to get the frame, motors and ESC Controllers.
First nightmare was the frame. Looked like an exact copy of the DJI
    .
Wrong! Screw holes weren’t deep enough for the screws.
Grind the ends of the screws. ( there are a bunch )
Next problem, the Allen head screws had over size slots.
The slightest resistance with either of two new, carbide tipped Allen
Drivers, failed, and the screws couldn’t be seated fully.
Button head screws. I can use vice grips on the screw head.
Not a happy camper by now.
Wiring, soldering done, motors and controllers mounted.
Programmed the Naza. Motors won’t start.
Checked the wiring, soldering. No problem there.
Re=programmed the radio, receiver, Naza, and Afro Controllers.
Of course everything needed updated. Nothing worked.
Eliminated the Naza, connected each motor, one at a time directly to
The receiver. Motors ran, Three almost vibrated the frame off the bench.
Must be the controllers, have had good luck with NTM Motors.
Re- Programmed the controllers again. Same problem.
Swapped motors and controllers, discovered there were three bad motors.
Naza and receiver still won’t talk to the controllers.
Now the only problem, is what to do with it? Plastic and a bit of metal won’t burn. Not cost effective to send it back to China, or worth the time and paper work. No doubt, the fact that I attempted to use it, voids any replacement. A large hammer would relive some of my frustration, but then hazardous disposal problems with the pieces.

I may mount it over the bench to prevent future brain fades and illusions of grandeur --

You get what you pay for -- Cheap junk is cheap junk --
It would be nice, if they checked some of this stuff to see if it actually works!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with this. I have had about 50% success with Hobby King stuff and first hand experience with their absolutely terrible customer service. They have to be the worst in the business for customer satisfaction.

That's 50% on a good day! You have to be really careful what kinds of things you get from them.

I hate it when cr@p like that happens, sorry to hear it.
I order from HK once in a while, mostly have had good luck with only a couple of minor things being junky.
