Haha, I stuck my gopro onto the E-revo brushless I used to have. We were out in the oregon dunes launching it off everything we could, as fast as we could. The Gopro mount lasted one jump, though it did have about 3 sec of air time and I nose planted it (I couldn't see the landing). The gopro had been ejected but still works. The video was okay but really shaky.

I love my GoPro-they are (almost) bullet proof...too top heavy for R/C,but still alot of fun.I did a better job cleaning the surface on my LST, and the mount hasn't fallen off of that.I have a mount on my M.T.B. frame ,my M.T.B.  and M/C helmets, that have hit tree branches ect. and never have fallen off also.I think the lexan flexes too much and has to be prep'ed w/ "wax and grease remover" for those to REALLY STICK.

    LOL

Just happenstance but I've researching possible helmet cams for my next project and given the price of the cams I've been looking at would warrant a protective shell. Guess I'm saying your cam looks like a possible and should be added to my list of possibles ... Hope yours gets well soon, send em flowers that always makes em feel better

I have a Contour HD (http://contour.com/) camera.  It's the one I used on my Beam E4 hover practice videos.  They have some new models since I purchased mine and they also offer the waterproof protective outer case.  I think I got mine from Amazon.

FYI= GoPro 1080 HD's have different generations (same camera). They won't tell you that, and the older , first ones will need to have some things uploaded in it ( free service) to make it equal in it's abilities ....It also does not have a vew finder ,you will need to guess. You may purchase a "Back Pack" play back screen for it (next on my list).I love my gopro, don't get me wrong, they are VERY TOUGH, but you may want to ck all possibilities,....other cams ck the price of thier S.D cards and extra batteries.-(FYI there too).Mine is not for sale!=LOL

And Thanks POT for the honest eval ... but as I said it's going in my list of possibles and that is no indication I'm going to buy it. Means more to say I'm going to look into it in more detail along with other choices on my short list, so no worries.

Besides allot of other things need to happen before I buy the Camera like to choice of bird I'll be using and at the top of that list is the new LARGER Quad by GAUI but again depending on what else I find that too may change

    Gentlemen, Later ...
