Anyone have any experience with these?

Claims to go out to 10 kilometer range with WiFi antenna. Looking at this for my Reaper FPV project to use with my Futaba T10CAP Tx. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D

I don't have experience with any of the LRS units yet, but depending on how much range you are looking for you can get pretty far out with a regular Spektrum radio that has the antenna jack added and then use a patch antenna with the 1 watt booster (a mile should be no problem). I have a DX6i that I am doing the mod with. If you really want long range then go with a Dragon Link or Chain Link UHF system. Those things can go out 10 miles or more easily.

Thanks for the info on the Spektrum mod. I have Futaba air transmitters so I need something to work with those. I looked at the Dragon Link before, but looks like they have a new version out that would work (previous one only had two servo control, versus 4 servos on the new one). Did a Google search and found LOTS more info for the Dragon Link and am more excited than ever to get my Reaper drone finished. Thanks ;D ;D ;D

Yeah the new LRS systems will work with almost any radio these days, it can be a 27 Mhz thru 2.4 gig because you are just digging into the PPM signal before it enters the radio and routing that to your new add-on transmitter. Sometimes you can get the PPM signal from the trainer port, but sometimes the signal is too low there so you have to go internal to find it depending on what model it is. With the UHF systems you are supposed to have a ham radio licence but with the Frsky system you don't, but it doesn't make much sense to add 2.4 ghz radio to a 2.4 Ghz transmitter, although they claim the recovery time is much better should you drop out. Being a helicopter guy I like the idea of fail safe for each channel.
