    Good question.  I thought I read once on their website that the HDMI was live during recording but I cannot find that now.  Quite frankly their "Tech Specs" page kind of sucks.

    I looked it over pretty close and I think I still like the Replay better.  Looks like this new model had a 1/4-20 hole on the bottom so you wouldn't need your adapter bracket.  That would be nice.  Wish we had more choices of cameras with composite output, but I guess we're not a big enough part of the market to make it worth adding the feature.  More and more I see HDMI outputs so maybe what we need is an external HDMI to composite converter.  That's a little messy, but it would solve the problem.

    I like the ReplayXD better also.  Considering what is available today I would choose it or the Sony Action Cam, probably the ReplayXD because of the size and format (design).  It also does not need a weather housing like the Sony.
