As far as i know, the closest track right now to you is in k-falls. There is one prepareing to open in grants pass here in the next couple of months. You can contact sleads adventure depot for more details on this.

There's a track in white city but I'm but sure if its gonna be up this year.

Be cool if aomeone else was able to take it over so it would be fun to race there.

Anyone know when kfalls is gonna start?

According to Gene & Betty @ RC Addiction, the county is not interested in renewing the lease for the property the track is situated on. If that is the case, it won't be open this year and it won't be available to take over and have access to it. Bummer!

according to gene and betty the earth is flat !! ;D  I personally went out to talk with the county about this last year.  According to steve lamberg (head guy) the lease was good for 5 years (as of last year).  Lot of us have a bad taste in our mouth from being associated with gene and betty.  It really is sad, lots of people will miss out on the fun that the white city facility could produce.

on the bright side, we can still have a blast in k-falls, redding, jacksonville (2x a year), grants pass (soon), yreka (soon).

Hmmm.  Honestly, the location of the Rogue Valley RC club (White City) was lame.  The track layouts were lame and the dirt there was really lame.

    RIP.

i have to disagree about the location being lame.  you cant ask for better location.  the potential at that facility is unreal.  yes they removed the good dirt that was there from past , and  intentionally put in crappy dirt.  the layouts were from the 1980's with the exception of the last one, which was pretty cool, if you drove a 4wd 1/10th buggy (which the track directer did) otherwise LAME.  but yeah i'm with ya, now i have raced at a few other tracks, all of which are more fun than w.c was.  If you look at that peice of property, in between gun range, go-karts, drag strip, dirt bikes, softball-baseball you're in good company, it really is a quality location, considering driver stand is there, water is there, parking lot is decent, no-power sucks.        RIP  single tear.  :'(

I just wanted to chime in and eliminate some rumors...

RVRC is still running the track in White City this year. Jackson County Parks renewed our lease last fall and racing will continue as usual.

    Well that sucks.

No one wants to go if the same old people are running it.

My experience with rca is horrible the few times I went and i heard only bad things about the track and how they run it.

If they step up theyre game and make it a real rc track and not a way to scam more tire sales by running sand paper for dirt it might actually become a huge success.

There's allot of us itching to race on a track and so far some of us would rather drive to klamath to race and get our fix.

Also need to get with the guys who run the klamath track and coordinate race days so its race day the same day,it would be cool to race every weekend either local or klamath.

Would be even cooler if we has a little southernoregon race series racing at any and all tracks in southern Oregon.

Hey Guys, Over here in klamath we are still racing onroad, we are getting ready to throw a new layout out there and get racing....if the snow would stop for more then a week.      We hope everyone can make it over this year and run with us, as well as us road tripping some too...its always fun.

steve, how has the on-road season been ?  sorry never made it over, but i only get one saturday off every 5 weeks.  last time i had saturday off we went to race @ rattlesnake in redding.  i have next sat off, but will be attending the short course extravaganza in redding.  should be a blast, would be cool if some of the k-fallers could make that trip as well.  the track is night and day different from worden.  it's big , dry, compact, not exactly what we are used to but tons of fun. facility is rad, they have an oval too.  However it is very short course freindly , smallish jumps, the 2wd class omits part of the track , as they can't make the big crossover consistently.  lap times are 20 sec ish, some guys dipped below i think.

    @ gp racer,
nailed it. i'd rather go hunt man bear pig, than have anything to do with rca, or rvrc nazi.  and im super cereal

Onroad has been going pretty good, we still averaging 35-45 entries.    There has been a few people interested in racing down there, we used to years ago.  Do they still require you to have a roar license??

yes on the roar thing.  they carry roar insurance, so you have to be a member (25.00) to be on the track, either driving or marshalling.  you don't have to adhere to roar specs tho.
good to hear you guys havin rc fun in the winter still. 35-45 ? wow, thats awesome.

What do you mean when you say onroad?  1/10 scale cars like the Team Associated TC4, TC5 and TC6, or are you referring to Short Course trucks running on carpet?

GPS, During winter we race inside a carpeted gym.  Classes we run are 12th scale, touring car, stadium truck, short course, sportsmen(novice), a minis.    Touring car is a big class on average of 15 cars

He's like a half man half bear pig,no no he's like half pig half man bear. Lol a fun hunt.

I cannot wait for the klamath races to start again.

If i can score 2 shorty lipos I'll try and make it out rattlesnake with my durango.
