OK, just ordered one of these today with the second battery and series connector. This is my first car, so don't beat on me too bad. What do you guys think of it? Any recommendations for upgrades??? Thanks for your input :D

I just finished watching a couple of YouTube reviews of the e-revo 1/16.
That looks like just the thing for indoor carpet racing in our community clubhouse this winter.

Is it bad to be thinking of your 3rd RC truck even before you've completed your second???

I think you will really like the little eRevo VXL.  There are tons of hop up parts and now ProLine also has some cool bodies (see the recent news post in the news category).  I have run 3S LiPo in mine with foam tires to make speed passes on the street and it flies.

Ditto on the lipos-you only need one in it to rip=run hard for 15 min. solid on a low mah (1600) .I have a rally-same platform, very tough.

Wouldn't running only one LiPo keep the chassis unbalanced? How about running two 2S LiPo's? As for bodies, I think I've found one on Ebay. But I'll check out the ProLine link for sure :D As for the RPM parts, are they all plastic/nylon? I was looking at aluminum arms and such. Are the RPM parts better? Thanks guys for your input. It really helps ;D

You can run single batteries on one side of the chassis and it will run very well.  I have a parallel adapter for running two batteries so if I run 7.2 volt NiMH or 11.1 volt LiPo I still have the same voltage just more mAh for longer run times.

The other hobbie store we talked about on the weekend was Stormer Hobbies (http://stormerhobbies.com/) and sometimes their prices are somewhat lower, especially for complete kits or RTRs.

I thought you'd like that little monster.  We should get together at the school on Harbeck one Saturday or Sunday.  That school has a great parking lot for running on-road cars.

Thanks guys. Been having LOTS of fun running this little thing around!!! Definitely up for running around down at the school. Let me check my schedule with my wife and I'll let you know. As for waterproof... yup! Been through some pretty big puddles at work, even submerged it a couple of times!! Still running strong. Boy, the motor and ESC get HOT! I'll have to start looking for some cooling options. Any ideas?

Mine gets really hot also, I think it's a issue with this model, but I've never fried anything.  I've been considering the ProLine "Slipstream" body because it has vents to allow cooling air to pass through the body and I think that because the eRevo body is so small and close to the chassis and innards it strongly limits air-flow and creates heat build-up so some vents and air-flow should be enough to help that problem.

    See the body here: http://prolineracing.com/bodies/slipstream-1-16-e-revo/

I've been looking at that Slipstream body also. I just don't have the time/patience to paint a clear body ???

If you don't want anything to complicated and buy the paint I'd paint it for you.  I could do some stripes or a gradient color change for you pretty easily.

No problem.  I have some time and can paint it for you right away provided the weather permits.
