Hey John, there was another post that mentioned this in use with an autopilot system. I was going to pick up a tablet this weekend and wanted some more info. Can you point me in the right direction?

It looks like they are using a 3DR Radio for data Tx. Which comes in 915 and 433 Mhz.

I think the guy is using a "Archos" tablet which are not as popular in the USA as in Europe.  Personally I would get a Nexus 10 if I wanted a big screen or a Nexus 7 for a smaller screen.  Both are available here:

What did/do you plan on getting?

I'm looking at a couple different ones and don't really have a for-sure favorite as yet...

I don't have any thoughts on those tablets because I've never really looked into them, maybe Nexus or one of the other guys knows something and can comment.

The reason I would go for a "Nexus" tablet (or phone) is because they run stock Android and not some proprietary user interface and all kinds of crapware.  If you've ever owned, or worked on, a Dell, HP or other major manufacturer's computer you know about crapware and all that junk that needs to be removed, and is sometimes even not removable.  A lot of phones and tablets are like that and I don't want that junk and I prefer to do the modding myself but this is just my own personal preference.
