Perfect shot! Now you have a "parts" camera. It's always good to have extra parts laying around. Made a great video anyway. Looks like Amazon still has them at a good price. I have one if you need it right now. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Powersh...9967&sr=8-10&keywords=cannon+power+shot+a2200 How's the rest of the stuff? ...Tiger
Helicopter just needs blades, flybar, etc. really minor considering, don't think it even stripped a servo. Camera lens focus thing was toast. I will probably buy another since they are so good. But looking at the wing camera from HK for the plane project, would be easier to mount, and planes don't have jello issues.
One of the things I really like about the Replay is the way it mounts and the low profile. Bummer it doesn't have video out. :-( ...Tiger
Sorry to say that yes they do. I've got the wing cam from HK and use it all the time. I mount it with Velcro either on the canopy or the wing depending on which plane I'm using. I do get some reat videos when mounted on my Seawind seaplane with just the slightest of jello effect, but pretty noticeable when I mount it on the club trainer for our airshow. just my $.02
Any idea(s) about the cause? Other than the obvious, i.e. 'hitting the pole' Excellent video by the way, presented, told the story quite well I thought.
I've flown my CMOS Keychain Cam on a lot of platforms including planes and it always has jello. It doesn't take much motion (vibration) to give you jello that's unacceptable. What the world needs is a CCD Keychain! ...Tiger
The wreck was basically showing someone how the helicopter fly's, and making the statement "Let me show you what this thing can do".
I did some looking around for really small DVR's today. I was thinking that clean crisp VGA sounds a lot better than HD with jello. ...Tiger
So now that you have a "disassembled" A2200, does it look at all like it could be repackaged into something a little more hobby friendly? ...Tiger
It was not that easy to get apart, but was all screws. There is one ribbon cable that was a PITA, but other than that there is not much in there. Could be setup really small, the screen is pretty thin.
