I have some Walkera heli's that force me to use their goofball transmitter.  One of the things I miss most is a good flight timer.  Today when I was roaming around WallyWorld, I came across this giant sized watch that had a stop watch function built in.  What's nice is that it doesn't have two hundred other functions.  Just has the clock, timer, super large display, and super simple controls.  Brought it home ($9.95) and started trying to marry it to my transmitter.  Turned out pretty neat so I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else has the same need.

Started by removing the two watch bands.  Ended up notching the lower band flange so it slips over the neck strap post.  That more or less indexed the watch so that it doesn't want to rotate or move around much.  Then I just added some velcro to the watch back and the face of the transmitter.  Presto - Timer on transmitter!  I'm attaching a picture so you can see how it looks.  Works great!

That looks great Tiger.  It almost looks like it was made for the transmitter.
    Thanks for sharing.
