I posted this as a reply addendum to another topic but it is so important I feel it deserves it's own topic. It's about the current state of affairs regarding the FAA's posture on small RC powered unmanned aircraft being used in the search and rescue capacity. Most people will be shocked to hear and see the accounts presented in this movie. The video is almost an hour long and you should make sure to watch it in it's entirety.
It's embarrassing how poorly the United States is adopting this technology. Did you see the numbers of other countries with flight locations and authorizations? There are only 2 or 3 authorized in America and they are all military contractors.
