??? what weight is suggested=what do you recommend (lighter for less traction?)---10k is stock---I haven't installed it yet-the slipper is fun w/ high traction surfaces, but way to loose on grannite (like a school track) .---Also, would a lighter weight be better on blacktop,to keep it from roll overs? will lighter wt make the front end push (understeer)?--ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS?

The setup tips that I received for my SSC-LCG Slash 4x4 project says this...

"Diff Oils - I recommend running at least 30k diff oil in the front and center diffs.
Any lighter up front and her tail will be real squirly diving into turns off a large
straight (less front brake power). 30-80k seems to work well in the center diff
(>80k is squirly). 10k works well in the rear diff."

I'm currently running 50K in the center diff on my Bug-Slash 4x4.
Over-the-Hill track is hard packed clay with a loose top layer of rock dust.

Thanks JROCK-sorry I keep missing you-I packed my Slash w/ mud Monday, tried the little track, and found out how loose it can get=couldn't keep it on the track.
--------------Thank you too Smitty-lots of good information there.I have some 50,000wt sitting around, and some 30k or 35k??-I think I'll try that 50k for starters---

Just remember the basics to guide you. Heavier weight oil will cause more friction and make the diff feel more like its locked (full 4x4), Lighter weights will allow the diff gears to move easier.

Either way on loose surfaces you may want a loose diff set up for better cornering, or a heavier diff set up for more straight line traction. Somewhere in the middle can also be best, it depends what you like as a driver.

thanks Bret,I am trying to not change more than one thing at a time.I am going to try 50k in the center diff. ,and go from there .The center diff. has never been in it,so I am swapping the slipper out today.I want to run it ,and possibly re-think the anti/sway bars next.
    =YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME-THANKS!
