Hey Tiger have looked at the 4 Kickstarter links refereed to your quad article?
... I found it interesting that 75 percent of Hardware and Product Designs FAIL to deliver product!

"But as many disappointing - Kickstarter projects - have shown - hardware is hard"

I found them quite eye opening ;)

EDIT: Also, 3D Systems Sues 3D Printer Company Formlabs For Patent Infringement, Sues Kickstarter Itself For Promotion

I've backed three Kickstarter projects and my experience is a 100% success rate.

After reading the articles I found
    Kickstarter recognized
the statistic (that 75% fail) and changed their guidelines warning potential backers.
One article also said backers are left to their own devices when deciding if a given project will (or can)actually deliver when they meet or exceed their target.
Therefor given your success I would assume (guess) you were being smart about it ... You got your assessments RIGHT [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

EDIT: They way I see it (in my opinion) there are two types of "backer", one who expects to get a finished product and the other who simple supports the 'idea' by donating cash. I would also guess the second type of backer are by far the fewer if they even exist at Kickstarter, LMAO ...

I don't know about colonized statistics or guideline changes, but the projects I backed in the last couple years have all worked out perfectly. Every single product has been top rate in materials, design and execution.
Besides the finished products, the communications from them during the project were just great. In fact to this day I still get offers and communications from each of them.

As I said "You got your assessments RIGHT" [IMG] Maybe 'others' are not quit as smart !?!
... Yes, the compliment was implied but a 'compliment' nevertheless

Thanks w00d. I can't say I did any assessment on any of the projects I backed though. I just backed projects that I thought were cool.

LOL, in another (but notice with all those the quotes I'm posting NO links to the actual reference other than the ones I've already posted above) their humor wasn't lost on this guy.

They also said "Kickstarter, you take all the risk, they get all the rewards"

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] LMAO, indeed challenging words, don't ya JUST LUV those O·pin·ion·at·ed types [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

... in other words everything I've quoted is out of context and the 'articles' should be read in their entirely. Otherwise it's JUST ME talking and I don't necessarily agree with everything they have said. Also for a reason why "my opinion" don't matter is because I personally don't use Kickstarter so I have NO vested interest. Also, none of the 'articles' where talking about when 'it goes right' but where talking about when 'it goes wrong' and where 'it can go wrong' in an effort to put light on the documented and dismal "75% fail" rate. IMO it's for those who have or might have a vested interest.
