    I like this thing, but somebody needs to tell the product photographer that not EVERY photo needs selective focus and shallow depth-of-field; especially close-ups of consumer products.

    Might be his photos are trying to single out or draw our attention to each individual feature of teh product! But the question remains, if that was his intent did his intent shine through or did his choice of depth of field convey his message!?! Rather that using 'focusing' I would have cropped closer around each feature I wanted to highlight. Mixed in with a couple of well focused shots of the entire product, but hey that's just smea! Yes, I agree his shots also didn't work for myself, they just don't entice to buy ...
