A-Main, my preferred online store, posted today that they've dropped the 22T down to $149 "while supplies last." I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is a clear sign that a 22T 2.0 (and likely a 22SCT 2.0) is in the works. Anyway, if you have the cash and want to start racing stadium truck, get your wallet out. Click here to check it out!
Team durango is on sale to. Was thinking bout hopping into 4wd buggy. I think I need to focus more in the class im already in.
The sad thing here is that Frank Root (a factory driver and employee of Losi) posted on RCTech that "We do not have plans for a 22T 2.0, and the price of the 22T at the moment suggests that it will not be reordered." Also quoted elsewhere he said "...there are no plans for a 22T 2.0, and at that price you can jump to a conclusion about the future of the 22T. We will always continue to support parts for a vehicle for at least 24 months after it is out of stock, but in the case of the 22T, probably much longer." Looks like after only 2 years the 22T has been discontinued. Horizon Hobby's product page even flat out says "this product is unavailable". I guess the only shining light here is that in neither of those comments did he specifically say the platform was discontinued, but it sure looks that way.
I noticed that. I'm guessing A Main just has surplus stock. But on the same hand I just absoutely, positively do not believe this thing can be discontinued. They just released the 22 2.0 and (as always) a truck is months away after ANY buggy release. Despite what Frank says I can't imagine that there isn't a revision in production. TLR TQ'd (but came in 2nd) the ROAR Nationals with the 22T, they'd be completely retarded to discontinue it. Right?
