I have a Futaba T7C TX and 4 OrangeRX 8ch. Rx's. I'm THINKING of selling. I just got a Spektrum DX6i and am going to be moving up to a DX8 shortly. May also sell the DX6i now that I think of it (no Rx's though), and the DX6i is a heli version (smooth throttle, no detents).
I could be interested in either one. Is the DX6i a DSM2 or DSMX? I'm several weeks and maybe months away from the need. This is for my TriCopter that is still mostly a dream.
I just took a reservation for 2 tables from Mark from Roseburg. This means we are very near capacity! I have only 1 available table remaining. When that one gets reserved I have a shoe horn and another couple of options to deploy. Overall, I'm very excited and pleased over the response that this event is experiencing. Can't wait til Saturday. ;D
I'm looking forward to it Smitty. I think we still have room for one more person in our vehicle in case someone wants to join us on the trip to Roseburg. We will be meeting Golden Child in Grants Pass to depart for Roseburg on Saturday November 12th at 7 AM and plan to start driving back to Grants Pass around 3 PM. Please let Golden Child or I know if you are interested in riding up with us.
Its DSM2. Going to sel it with my 450 heli, or if the heli sells without radio, then I'll sell it seperately. Otherwise they need to stay together as I don't have another radio for the 450. Hey, is there a GOOD pace to eat breakfast near the clubhouse? John, his lady and I are going to eat before we show up. And, I'm bringing the doughnuts!
Besides Mickey D's (McDonalds), Subway or Arby's and nothing's within walking distance to the clubhouse. I'm away's off before I will need a transmitter. I did order the airframe for the TriCopter.
John from Coos Bay area has reserved a table. That means 7 of the 8 available round tables are spoken for. But don't worry, I've still got some options that I will use if necessary. You just don't want the guy who shows up on Saturday with stuff to sell/trade and no table reservation. :'(
If you are coming from Grants Pass or other points South, a good place to have breakfast is at exit 99 at the Seven Feathers Truck & Travel Center. From the North you'll have a choice: Shari's at exit 127 Elmer's at exit 125 Denny's at exit 124 From the coast, you'll have some options in Winston. The fall back and closest to our location, will be McDonald's on Hwy 42.
Smitty - You ordered your tricopter frame? Way to go Smitty! GC - What's this about you selling the 450? Must be a misprint. You can't do that!
Yes, its true. The 450 will be for sale :-[ IF it sells, I will be purchasing an SR120 to get the feel for helis a little easier. Once I've got the touch, I'll go with a bigger (500-600 size) heli and a nice scale fuse - there seem to be a lot more choices for fuselages in the bigger sizes. Plus, I want to put a nice FPV setup on it and the 450 will be a tad small for payload capacity and space to put everything. Not giving up, just following a different path that suits me better The DX6i that I got with the 450 was just a stepping stone to the DX8 that I want. I got a great deal on the pair and I only went for it with the idea of turning it for a profit and stepping up to what I really wanted to end up with. And if it doesn't sell, that's fine too because I've already got a great setup to learn on. So no worries, I have a path I want to follow and the 450 wasn't really in the plan. It was just such a great deal I couldn't pass it up
I attended the Umpqua Valley Modeler's meeting last night to invite them to the swap meet. A great bunch of guys. They were surprised and excited about the responses for table reservations. I'm sure we'll see them on Saturday. Tiger, yes it's true, tricopter frame is in transit. I only hope it arrives after the kindle touch, I ordered for my wife.
Now we're rolling! I just reserved two more tables. Brent from Yreka and Greg from Roseburg. WaHoo!!!
That's great news Smitty. I just spoke with Golden Child and we will be leaving Grants Pass at 7AM. See you in the morning!
Very cool! I just got back from setting up the clubhouse. 10 tables plus some overflow. Laptop and web cam on the big screen. Parts, parts and more parts, price sheets and packaging. 80 cups of coffee on a timer and the promise of DONUTS! I'm a happy man.
Truck's all packed - 11 cars, 2 planes, 1 heli, radios, tools, and parts! GPS, I hope your minivan has LOTS of room (lol) ;D
BTW: If anyone is interested, I am able to take credit and debit cards in case anyone is short of cash.
GC & GPS, I currently have you assigned to 2 round tables. Considering your inventory I may need to move you to one of the covered pool tables instead. We'll decide in the morning.
