      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi guys and gals, so I  would really like to buy my father in law a descent little float / land plane for Christmas this year. He used to be really into flying rc&#039;s 30 or so years ago and was to the point where he would build them from scratch based on his own design. Every time he comes to visit and sees my trucks he lights up and starts telling me stories of his flying days and his builds.<br />
<br />
I just know that if I got him setup with a good entry level plane that was simple to run and fly but...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I was just listening to the FPV-HAM TechNet Conference (see my FPV posting) and there was a lot of discussion about the &quot;Polaris Seaplane&quot;.  Just put it into Google and got a ton of hits.  Looks like you could make this thing for about ten bucks and a trip to the Dollar Store!  There are lots of links, but here is the one I looked at and where I found this cool YouTube video.  Mike - I can just see you doing this! <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)" /><br />
