    Bad cable.  Probably inferior shielding.

I agree, cheap cables is my thought.

If you've ever stripped some of those RCA coaxial cables you will see that the shielding can be pretty miserable.  Often it's hard to see how they can claim the braiding as a shield at all because it is so loose it barely covers the center conductor's insulator.

Something new for us to watch out for if we ever have video Rx problems.

I had exactly the same problem.  It was a mis=match with the connecters.  For a lack of proper name - same type of plug used to charge radios.  There seems to be a wide range of diameters
on the outside and the pin diameter.  Wiggle the wire - problems?  Either broken wire inside. or a bad connecter.  Could also be a bad solder joint at one of the connecters.
Easy to find.  Just wiggle the wires, one at a time, on each end.  The stero jacks are probably Ok.  My bet would be the power plug.

In the comments he resolved it.  It was a RCA cable with crappy shielding.

Often NOOBS omit from their helicopters power input as it's not really required since 2.4g Radio's became popular.
... Also NOOBS and even some retailers have confused 'Ferrite Rings' with 'Ring Magnets' because they can use ferrite material to make magnets per say, thus the two look similar but that's a whole different subject eh

"Lest We Forget - Kipling" ... Although we can get-away without a power filter for our Receiver (Rx) lest they forget the other systems which are susceptible to high frequency noise produced by our poorly filtered power input. Such as the monitors connected by ALL those "poorly shielded video cables"

Yup as with good cable 'shielding' adding some 'Ferrite' to the system is just darn good engineering
... w/ that most of the better Video Cables do indeed include them, AND the BETTER PSU (Wall Wart) also include some 'Ferrite'
... better to "have it and NOT need it" than "need it and NOT have it" yeh

Moral of the story, don't forget your 'Ferrite' fellas [IMG]

    I don't think I've ever seen a RCA cable with a Ferrite.
