Hey flyers, a good group of guys and gals get together Sundays to fly out at Redwood School in Grants Pass. Everyone is welcome - the more, the merrier! All ages! If you have planes, come out and fly them. If you're just thinking of "maybe" getting into the sport, then by all means - COME OUT! See how much fun it is and what a great group of people there is to fly with.
GREAT day of flying today!!! Perfect weather and no wind! Lots of great people and SOOOO many planes to look at and see fly! Brought my usual trio of Cub, Bipe, and F-18 - flew each several times - nothing broken Also brought my "paper airplane" (unfinished) and got lots of interest and kudos from the crowd. Got home a little while ago and found the rest of the parts to finish it. So with luck I'll be doing the maiden on it tomorrow morning in my back pasture.
Won't be out at Redwood this Sunday. The RVF is having a field work-day out at the SkyPark in Kerby. Sorry I'm gonna miss all you guys
What a great day at the Fly-In! There were a lot of planes in the air today. I'm going to guess 15-20, what do you think Golden Child? Pelagic Pilot was there with his helicopter and he had a lot of people interested in his setup with the Co-Pilot II. You had a bunch of planes and your jet plus a couple cars. I had a great day and the weather was good and calm so even the micro planes were in the air. I'm sold on that little Champ plane!
All my batteries are charged! Fixing my F-18 now, then on to getting the Slo-Stik balanced. Woohoo, gonna be a great day at Redwood ;D
This is so cool, bring back my youth why don't ya {LOL} Oh and by the way I'm so jealous I can't be with you guys, boo-hoo ;D
The sun came out early, woo hoo! I'll be heading over shortly. Cowabunga! Wish you could join us also w00d!
Today was another great day at the Sunday Fun-Fly. LOTS of planes in the air, a helicopter maiden flight and a whole bunch of friendly folks sharing stuff about the hobby. Every weekend I see more planes and new planes being flown. Today I also learned there are people flying crazy rubber-powered planes and some doing "Free-Flight" still. I would not have guessed that. It's always a pleasure to hear the stories from folks who have been doing their hobby for a while and are so knowledgeable about it. Cool stuff.
Once again I'll be out at Redwood School for Sunday flying Probably still going to be programming my DX6i as I sold my Futaba radio at the swap meet so I may not be flying - but I'll be there
There was a lot of folks out at the fun-fly today. Rick brought his AR-Drone and it is very cool. Chris had a near-miss incident with his high powered plane on take off that got the whole group to make some noise. The weather cooperated the whole day and lunch at Tacos Locos was great as usual. Tiger convinced me to bring Furby to the next Roguebots meeting so we can skin him and see what makes him tick. ;D
The weather channel says cool and cloudy, but the rain should hold-off until afternoon. Soooooo, heading out for some finger-numbing flying! See you there
Another GREAT day at the field!!! OK, who am I kidding :-X It was COLD - DAMN COLD! Two free-standing propane heaters and it was still DAMN COLD!!!!!!! There is something seriously wrong with us!!!!
