It came with a 400-size Rimfire 28-30-950 Brushless Outrunner, and 25A ESC. Check the link above for details. Back at work until 10pm, will post more when I get back home 8)

Haha, been ridiculously busy at work so I haven't even put it together yet :-\ I will tonight though. Probably won't maiden it until next Saturday at my club's float-fly at Lake Selmac.

All finished and ready for the Float-Fly this Saturday! The build went real easy, less than an hour total and it even came with a display stand and CG balancer (both cheap foam, but still usefull!)

Bad lighting  - the plane is actually blue and white :)

Just maidened the Seawind, oh my gosh what a GREAT flyer!!! Very little trimming needed. Take-off's and landings were smooth and relaxed. Floats in the air "dead-stick" at least as well as the Super Cub :) Lots of power, able to cruise at 1/3 throttle.

ESC died in mid air late Saturday, plane crashed float-side down so no water inside the hull. got the plane back and only damage was one wing tip float was broken off. Easy field repair, replaced the ESC and was up flying again no problem. This really is a GREAT flying aircraft. Easily my second favorite (behind my Pitts bipe of course :)

I know it's a low-wing, and a seaplane, but I doubt I'd hesitate to recommend this as a first plane to anyone - it flies that easily! Also a very easy build and CG, control throws, etc. are all easy to setup.

What a great looking plane.  Didn't you say that this could land on grass also?

Many of the reviews I've read on this plane say it can take-off and land on grass. The forward portion of the bottom (hull) is capped with plastic so no fear of the foam getting damaged. The motor definitely has more than enough power. So, yes, I would agree that this is also suitable as a park flyer. Haven't tried it myself, and probably won't, considering how many other planes I have.
NitroPlanes.com sells a micro version of this, though I doubt it balances out as well. But at $59 vs. $200 that I paid for mine, it may be a good investment :D

    Hi Golden Child

Not to stick my nose in where it shouldn't be but I thought I'd like to fix (well try) for you ...

If you don't like it or you find fault please say so. I'm just learning "Photoshop" techniques so ALL teh input (even negative) is great.

Can't get better without input right ...

Personally I find the white turned out a bit too purplish.

I tied to make it bit closer to pure white but only you can decide if it works for you !?!

I did manage to get the aircraft closer to being blue but without seeing the plane in person it's hard to judge how exact to the original blue it is ...

    ... What do ya think ?? {LOL} or should I jus mind my business ? ? ?

Hey Wood, no worries. I'm actually a semi-professional photographer and proficient in Photoshop and most other photo/video editing software as well as 3D design. I was just lazy and took the photo with my iPhone and other than resizing it to fit the space limit requirements, I just left it alone. Looks like you're getting the hang of it - you're right about the white appearing "purplish", but the blue is right on the money. Good job, and thanks for your effort :D

This is cool ... An amateur photographer myself, well I was as I'm just getting back into it. What camera do you use? I'm playing with a Nikon D90 w/ DX 16-85 3.5-5.6 ED

My main platform is my Canon EOS XTi 400D, several lenses and filters. At 10.1MP I can blow my photos up to 20"x30" with no pixelation. When it has to be perfect I shoot with my Canon EOS 5D. At 21.1MP, there really aren't any limits. All my lenses and accessories fit both camera bodies so I really have a wide range of options.
The D90 is a great camera, can't go wrong there. I've been a Canon fan since the days of Andre Agassi, and have never been disappointed :D

WOW nice setup for sure especially your Canon EOS 5D. But you don't need me to tell you, you know. I'm looking for a really nice macro and a really good normal lens as it's about all my budget can stand but I would be happy nevertheless. Anyways not to take away from your Seawind thread which is a mighty fine aircraft I'll stop talking photography and let the thread get back on track

    Thanks for the talk

Do you have any photos on here that were shot with your Canon EOS 5D?
