REX - The Brain for Robots

Simply put, Rex is the greatest robot control module ever designed. A single-board computer running linux-based Alphalem OS, Rex makes it easier to build a robotic system. There's no software installation required - just open a terminal application on your PC, connect Rex via your PC's serial port, and power it on!

Rex can supply up to 20A directly from a 6-12V Ni-MH battery to connected devices. That's more than enough to power a couple servo drivers, Arduinos, rangefinders, and full servo load on an 18-servo hexapod robot!

When you want to step up to the more advanced stuff, Rex is at the ready! Audio In/Out connectors for voice recognition/speech synthesis, a parallel camera port for interfacing a camera module directly to the ARM+DSP cores and speedy image processing, and a USB Host port for webcams, WiFi adapters... or anything else we didn't think of!
