def will take some pics. try to get some go pro footage of event too. we leave tonight, b-line for in & out burger in chico.
We have 6 yreka guys heading down tomorrow morning! I will brjng my go pro as well , and take sum pics. Should be about 300 entries this yr, which will be the biggest event I have ever attended. Cant wait!
Did anybody get photos or video? I saw this today: http://www.redrc.net/2013/03/2013-a-main-hobbies-outback-shootout-report/ It looks like the winners all got a cool case.
sorry i'm having issues loading pics from my cam ( i didn't get many) here are some from the phone 4wd sc (fast guys) include tyler vik, austin blair 2wd short course 17.5 stock, here is myself and some of the yreka guys
having on site parts is very cool. we racked up a hefty little bill too. however, a few of us picked up speed passion speed control for spec racing but they (hobby shop) were out of programming cards so Adam(yreka), Aaron (yreka) and myself all had to race with virtually no brakes in our 2wd 17.5 short course trucks . still had a blast though my point is, being prepared is priceless, i have a lot of room for improvement.
You would think someone there would let you borrow their programming card for a minute. Why do so many pro racers use Speed Passion motors and ESC's?
Sweet pics austin! Wish I wouldve takin some, but that was a busy wkd! Haha. P.s I like the look of that orange truck out in front! ;-)
@gps, one racer had a card but it failed. Not sure why sp is used in so many pro-racers. prolly good advertising... pay the pros to use quality parts (they can win with most any brand). Pros are not gods, they r humans. they just have 1000 times more wheel time/experience. still, when i see my favorite driver use something, i feel i also need to get that something to add to my bag tricks. 8)
