    You know I almost did. But I didn't think about it till it was too late. Showed up at one saw some cool flights and this one guy can't remember his name, was getting crazy straight up pro acrobatics. . Thats what I wanted to record.

    Steve Coleman and Mark Tobin were both flying large-scale 3D - Steve AM, Mark PM - so depending on when you were there, that's who you saw. Mark had the smoke system in full effect which was VERY cool. I didn't shoot any video, but as always, thousands of pics :D
    Two more shows tomorrow, so I'll weed through all the pics and post the best ;) Sorry I didn't see you guys, if anyone comes tomorrow, yell out for Mike or Chris, we'll both be on the flight line all day :)

    I kicked myself all the way home for not taking a real camera today. I actually got one ready and then decided not to bring it because I was going on my motorcycle. Really should have brought it, but I didn't. I did get some pretty good shots like the ones above with my iPhone, but it's just not the same. I do have some video of both the morning 3D and Jet runs, but my internet is so slow, I don't know if I'll upload it. We'll see. The jet was really cool. That's what I went to see. :)

    Did the jet do any high speed passes? Would you say it's faster than Chris's Stryker?

    Yup, faster than Chris and a very sexy airframe in the air :) I flew my Slow Stick to demo an easy, and cheap, way to get started in RC. I also flew the club trainer in the "Streamer Cut" event. A very popular event as it involve several aircraft chasing me to cut a streamer attached to the tail feathers of my aircraft. Very entertaining to watch all the dive-bombing and criss-crossing of aircraft :D

    BTW, Chris augured-in twice. Once Saturday with his just rebuilt and new Slow Stick, smoking the battery in the crash. And again on Sunday with his striker. Both times straight in to the ground! Two planes done, and two batteries and at least one ESC burned-out.

    Here is a shot video clip of the jet making a pass in front of the stands. I'll try to post something more complete later. Be sure to turn your sound up all the way and click on HD for the full effect. Yep! It was fast! :)

    GPS, yes it was his fast Stryker :( The owner of the jet is not a RVF member, but the Pilot is - Bruce Tharpe of Bruce Tharpe Engineering. Because of the speed and the intricacy of the jet turbine engine, and the HUGE potential for fire/explosion, all jet pilots must be certified by the AMA and the FAA. No certification, you can't fly your own jet turbine, as in this case. A very cool show!
