That's cool. Do you know what they are doing this for? They say it's for something upcoming in the description. Something "much bigger".
If you look at their YouTube page they just do crazy insane and stupid RC helicopter stunts all the time. Like standing on a skateboard, holding a trex 600 in front of you, someone else runs the throttle up to pull you down the sidewalk. Pulling the boat around with tandem 600s was kinda cool though. But yeah, this is the highest weight I have ever heard of, if it is real. The 10KW motor comes out to 13 horsepower.
Do you remember what the heaviest weight that was reached in that Hobby King contest from some time ago?
I forgot, but looked it up, was about 129 Lbs from that guy who built a quad the size of a small car, don't know if there is another contest this year.
I thought I remembered it was around 100+ pounds just wasn't sure. Do you know what the heaviest lift was that anyone has gotten with a RC helicopter?
LOL, maybe a 1:3 scale or smaller RC helicopter. BTW, they don't let us fly gas models at the Redwood school so you can't bring your RC KMAX.
