    I'll see what I can do GP ...

    Video is not the easiest nor is the timing, outside at night is difficult at best without making excuses or blaming something or someone

    Thanks I appreciate the kind words ... but may I let ya in on a secret, photographers tend to only take picture of the best aspects of their subject. I'll take a shot of what I know needs work. Puts a different light on the subject ...

    Teh list of what I know needs work. This side of my helicopter jus bugs me big time-->
    • Connectors need polishing, looks like dirt
    • Bottom two leads are too long
    • Black paint work needs a good polishing
    • RED & GREEN NAV Lights are wrong, On this side is the Green NAV Light. The RED NAV should be on this side
    • PaintShop Pro is excellent at removing dust and being as anal as I can be I would remove all the dust before showing off any on my pic's
    • I don't like my splicing work of the connectors to the rear LED's
    • ... and last and most obvious is I screwed up the canopy big time by drilling the NAV Light in the wrong position, D'oh
    AND I'm sure there's more that needs work. These are just the areas I intended to fix or was going to fix before I showed this side of the HELI to world. Could say they are never finished and are always a work in progress ....

    Oh by the way that is the LED Controller we are looking at ;)

    This is where I had intended to use the LED's ... Instead I decided to use them on my GAUI.

    This project (Bell UH-1) is not DEAD just on HOLD until I work out it's issues and until I'm in the mood to finish

    At first I thought the music was the intro to Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond", but I guess not.  So w00d, what is it?

    EDIT: Thinking on it some it reminds me of the intro into the movie - Blade Runner

    That's what I thought too.  The movie Blade Runner soundtrack was Vangelis I believe.

    EDIT: Yes, I have the directors edition Blade Runner and it is Vangelis.

    This is strange!  I just noticed that the red and brown wires are reversed in your picture of the little LED board.  Red is going to "B" and Brown is going to "R".  Either the LED is mounted backwards or you reversed the connector to make it work I guess.

    {LOL} Ya caught me! Sloppy workmanship

    The bottom two channels [EDIT:] My BAD, NOT the "bottom two" but "channels 5 & 6" [/EDIT] power the 5mm (Red & Green NAV) LED's and when I wired in the Current Limiting Resistors I must of crossed the wires. What's the layman's rule for LED's, if they don't work the first time reverse the connection ... You had guessed right

    I tried and it was darker lighting, VID turned out a bit darker but somewhat grainier ... It weren't for lack of trying  :-\
    Keep saying I stink at making video's this is why you don't see me making them that often
    But the LED's are indeed brighter  :eek: ;D

    That looks great w00d, they are bright LEDs.  Have you flown it outside at night yet?

    Did you see Nexgen's night photos on RCHeli Resource?  Those were some of the coolest night photos I've ever seen.  I especially liked the one with the time exposure take off.  Like a cyclone!  Very cool.

    Nope NO night flying for the w00d ... Without getting into a long story lets just say I can't. {hehe} and not to sound all too mysterious I will tell anyone who wants to know why via PM. Just don't NEED to tell the whole darn world as it's kinda personal

    {LOL, D'oh} Ok I was wrong again and with my head tuned in correctly this time I'm finally reading your post correctly ... My apologies ...  :eek:

    You are talking about the Ultra Bright LED's, correct ?? ...
    ... and yes because there's no way in sunshine I can solder this nice this it is how I received them from Dimension Engineering --->

    [IMG]

    It would seem the manufactures HAVE indeed cross-wired the "little LED board"

    Not that it matters much as to make it work we just need to reverse the connection at the controller end, but we have been through this and we agreed. Although when I think back this does explain the trouble I was having and why the LED wouldn't light when I first connected the RED wire to the + (plus) terminal (pin-out) on the controller

        [glow=maroon,2,300]w00d[/glow]

    PS:
    Apparently I DID wire the 5mm LED's correctly! {LMAO}
