How do you like your Eagle Tree stuff?

Was it a brushless motor that burned out?

I love the eagle tree stuff but still trying to work out the bugs with the plane as well as the video TX/RX. So once I can get the bugs worked out for the plane then ill be able to focuse on the TX/RX and then ill be able to enjoy FPV and the eagle tree stuff alot more. Kinda wondering if 900 Mhz was a bad idea. I only picked 900 Mhz because I know it will go around things the best. But now kinda thinking about going to 1280 or even 5.8 as my Ranglink on 433 Mhz might be interfering with the 900 Mhz TX.

I was liking the Eagle Tree stuff too but never met someone in person who actually uses it.  I know you can see a lot of guys using them on YouTube but then you can find just about anything there and most people will say they like what they have.  If you ever fly in the Grants Pass area let me know, I wouldn't mind coming out to watch you and see your setup in person.

Is it the Eagle Tree that is talking in the video?  It sounds like it is speaking some of the battery status and maybe altitude data.  That is cool.

I was under the impression that 900 Mhz would be top notch for range on the video transmitter compared to 5.8 Mhz.  I am not sure but I also believe that the 433 Mhz stuff should not be a problem in your setup.  There are a few other guys on here that know a lot about radio stuff, Tiger being one of them.  I bet one of them could offer some suggestions and/or ideas.

Yeah that is True Everyone Loves walking untill they find out theres something better out there like a car and then they like that instead. For me FPV is a way that I can explore the country side with out being in a real plane. Would like to get video of the country side as well as the coast and so on.

The Ealgetree stuff you can set it up to announce pretty much anything you want. And yeah I had her telling me the Battery level as well as the Airspeed. I didnt want to watch or fly by the video as that was my first time flying the plane and was wanting to make sure I had it trimmed out first as well as get to know the know the plane.

900 vs 5.8 I would like to maybe try 5.8 as seems like there isnt really anything that will affect it like it will to the 900. Also 5.8 as ALOT SMALLER antennas so that would be a plus for the Eagle Eyes Antenna Tracker because its lighter so would make it easyer on the servos to pan and tilt the antenna.
