I don't know why DJI information is so hard to make any sense of it all. But I have been looking for an alternate method of RC control besides 2.4 and UHF. I really wanted 900 MHz control actually, as it turns out the 900 Mhz data link for the Ace series of controllers can be used to control the aircraft. There are two receivers on the helicopter, your standard 2.4 RC Futaba/Spektrum and also the bi-directional 900 Mhz data link. You can fly normal with the 2.4 but then at any time you can switch over to 900 Mhz and either use keyboard input or video game joystick USB control. The 900 is 1.5 watts and can offer up 15 KM of range for both control and telemetry. The problem is I do not know what is the lowest level of package that this is offered at. I don't know if Ace One is enough or if you have to upgrade to Ace View.

But at least it is available in some form between $2,000 and $12,000 if you really need one.

It looks to me like the minimum you would need are these:

    http://www.uavproducts.com/product.php?id_product=1

    and:

    http://www.uavproducts.com/product.php?id_product=17

    So around $3720.00

The higher costs seem to depend on waypoints and how many you want.
