Converting 2.2 RC Tamiya tyres to 1.9 for Axial Wheels on the SCX10 4x4 competition truck

I agree with you. There is another member, Highlandcrawler, who has taken different tires and made completely new kinds of tires. Somewhere he has a photo of tires that have sidewalls from one brand and tire type and the center tread of a different brand and tire type. That's a lot of precision cutting and glueing.
