Here's another pretty cool FPV video, with mishaps and all.

Another GREAT video from David. I've been following his stuff for awhile now. That guy is one awsome modeler and FPV pilot. He has done some work for/with HobbyKing.com. There are some referrences to some of his work in these threads also:

Not to worry ;) He's a good one to follow, and his videos are always informative AND entertaining - I hadn't seen this one before. I wonder if he got dizzy watching his plane spiral down to the ground (he wears FPV goggles!)
His Tricopter V2 is the frame I'm building for my tricopter project ;)

I have been following him pretty close for the last few weeks as after I saw his Hollywood sign FPV I became fully convinced to build his V2.5 Tricopter design this spring. I am headed to LA next week and since my 7 year old can not make the hike up to the sign, (Actually we could, but the 3,785 times hearing "are we there yet" is the real reason for not hiking), I have studied the flight and found the exact location of his takeoff and landing point and we will visit that spot which has a good view of the sign. Here is the video:

Here is the Google Maps link, if you zoom to street view you can actually see the red Toyota Tacoma, and the blue recycle bins that are now famous due to Davids video:

I still have not decided on which KK board to use, but I did find pre-configured boards on eBay with free shipping:

And this at the same price, but you need to tell them what configuration you want:

You know the best answer to the "are we there yet?" = Yes.  ;)
