3500kv on 6s? Damn! Where do you find a motor that will turn 3500 @22.2v? Especially in the water!

That 3500kv is advertised before I hit it with the 6s I haven't done the math yet to figure what it would be after and I haven't really decided for sure what the drive will be for sure yet I may go with a Mach 28 nitro I have laying around and run it to a duel drive gear box all I've really decided on for sure is duel out drives and counter rotating props I'm still doing the wood work to the hull it is probably going to be next winters project I've got the hull roughed in right now

My whole interview was just over half an hour but they took just the one clip to keep the video short and sweet!

Haha! Thanks Rick. My favorite part is the "stock" Corvette LS3 engine with LS7 & LSA engines as upgrades! Awesome Power & sound!!!

WOOHOO!!! Spoke with my engineer that is doing the re-draw of the AL24 in quarter scale and I should have it early next week! It may take a few days to get it fit into the fab schedule and then a couple days for them to get the parts made. So I should have it all in my hands within two weeks at the most :D
SOOOO excited to get this project started! In the interest of keeping the cost reasonable on this first prototype I am going to use a substantially less expensive engine for initial testing and setup. The Zenoah 61 is around $1700 and is likely what I will put into the final product. But to start out I am going with a Chinese knockoff of the Zenoah 58.

    Zenoah 58 Knockoff.JPG

Still a hefty $665 even off Ebay, but that will leave more meat on the plate for testing different props, clutches, gearboxes, etc.
I will post pics of the entire process once I get the prints and parts in my hands!!!

    LOL!
Essentially, this is (at least on paper) a cheaper GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition with all it's options! $130 vs. $300. Not bad, if it lives up to it's specs!

For the final AL24 release I will mount a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition camera that records up to 4k resolution - VERY SICK!

Yes, and no. Got the design finished and working on setting the tooling for our CNC punch table and CNC router to get the parts cut out. That's the yes part! Been working 6-12's so not really any time to actually get to work on the fun stuff. That's the no part! I'm going to be bringing the SolidWorks file home on Monday so I'll be able to work on it outside of work hours. So hopefully I'll have parts in my hands soon and can start welding it all together. This is really taking longer than I anticipated, but I've made it my only project until it's complete. So for now, just a few teaser pics from a night out on the lake. I know, not my usual quality photos, but I only had one lens with me and is was an f-4.5 so I wasn't able to get the fast shutter speed needed and still let enough light through the aperture. Sorry ;)
