You've got to be kidding. If this was a DJI Phantom it could randomly fly-away and shoot. This is what happens when you have both a AMA and a NRA membership.
I can't imagine any NRA member being this stupid. They are smarter and far more responsible. AMA members? - Maybe! ...Tiger
It was a bad joke. That contraption was a really bad idea. I'm surprised he put that on YouTube. This will probably end up in the news.
The feds respond! They are after this guy now. http://video.foxnews.com/v/43641116...p=watchnow&playlist_id=trending#sp=show-clips ...Tiger
Yep, I saw another one today also: http://www.gizmag.com/handgun-drone-investigation-youtube-connecticut/38571/ If I read it correctly, they don't know if the guy actually broke any law yet.
So at the end of the day, what this guy did isn't actually illegal. Still not a good idea and certainly not good for our hobby, which is already under attack. May not be illegal, but I'll bet it will be soon! http://hackaday.com/2015/07/22/no-mounting-a-gun-to-a-quadcopter-probably-isnt-illegal/ ...Tiger
That is what I understood from the article. This sure won't help the hobby win hearts and minds of the public that are not familiar with the technology. We still have folks who hate cell phones and the Internet so it's going to be a long haul to convince the unwashed masses that "drones" are their friends.
