I don't see much use for anything like this unless you're one of those brave souls that flys over the horizon. Personally, I'm pretty much always where I can see the crash. My Fatsharks also have a DVR so I am always recording my GPS coordinates from the OSD when I'm flying. I think that's good enough for me. That unit you posted is a neat option though.
