so looking at Hobby King looks like you could get everything you need to put a Hexacopter together for $150. Right now im doing FPV fixed wing but would like to also try multirotor to get the shots and views that you wouldnt be able to get from the fixed wing. Im looking for help on what to get. I would like to go the cheap route and see where that leads me. I was thinking a Hexacopter vs a Quadcopter because it seems like it would be able to handle all the weight better. Here is the Hexacopter that I found just not sure what else to add to this setup. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...0mm_Integrated_PCB_Version_US_Warehouse_.html Also it would be nice to have a control board that can handle RTH and Altitude hold. So not sure if there is a HK board that can do this or if just need to get a NAZA-M Lite w/GPS.

Good choice on the hexacopter. That's a clone of the DJI parts. There are Hobbyking options for the controller, but if you want "out of the box" rock solid performance, you can't beat the NAZA. There are other things with a few more features and a lower price, but the NAZA just "works". I have a bunch of different controllers and nothing flys better than my NAZA's (3 of those).

Alright, and yeah I know what you mean I bought a flybarless controller for my heli and now im thinking that was a waist of money and should have spent that little bit more on something I know works.

So Motors which ones would you put this? Not sure if I want something in the 250-300 Watt range or 300-400 Watt range. I want it to have enough power to carry all the cameras and everything else but I also dont want per say to much power and due to having to much power it for example cuts my flying time in half.

That sounds like a pretty good price.

    Gimbal looks very interesting!
Someone buy one so we can see how it works.
I have been using a cheap servo driven gimbal with the Naza V1.
It works, but rather clunky and hangs down too far. No doubt, this one
    Would do a better job.
    My big questions.
Wonder if you could just bypass the included board on the gimbal and
    Work it with the Naza?
The other question. It appears to be configured for the Gopro 3, without
    The plastic case.
I have a real hang-up about sticking the lens out there, without the wonderful plastic case. Replacing the lens on the case is no big deal.
Replacing the camera lens is another story.
Hacking the gimbal to take the plastic case, or a Gopro 2 might be a problem.

I know i was thinking about putting a gopro hero on it with the case one way or another. And I was also wanting to try and plug this into the Naza but then again the board might work better for it though....

I saw a video somewhere where a guy hacked into the naza to run that gimble.

    Just found this site.. yay!

I have that Tarot gimbal. My experience with it has been very positive so far. I don't have it ran to the Naza yet for roll control, but that's coming.

I think you would have a very hard time modifying it to take a GPH2 or the 3 with a case. It comes balanced for the GPH3 from the factory.

im thinking because of cost im going to put this on hold for now and stick with my flying wing. Last couple of days we have been flying from Ave G in White City all the way to the VOR on top of Table Rock and then back.
