Hi @Learning to fly - Welcome back to the forums.
There are a bunch of us on here who could probably help you repair your helicopter. Some more info would help.

Where are you located? (there is a place in your profile to fill out some additional info about yourself)
What is broken on the helicopter? If you could post some photos that could help.

Have you already purchased all the replacement parts needed?

I have to ask... Why do you need to take the motor apart? Not much in there to go wrong. Did you strip any servos? Those things eat servos when they crash. If you didn't already, you need to check the servos before you order parts.

OK. I will check in tonight to see your photos.

I would carefully check the servos like @Tiger suggested. If you disconnect the motor from the ESC you can run the radio and cycle through all the servos and make sure they more smoothly in both directions. It is very common to strip the teeth inside the servos when crashing helicopters.

Since you poofed the motor, you want to be sure to check the ESC before you order parts. Best way is to hang another motor on there for a test. Any size will work (but don't use the tail motor). When a motor goes, the windings usually short rather than open and that can take the ESC so you want to check that.

Just for a bright note... You many have gotten off to a bumpy start, but the 200SRX is a really fantastic helicopter. I have lots of helicopters larger and smaller and for all around stress free fun, the 200 tops the list. I fly it more than any heli I've ever owned. Maybe we can meet up and fly together some time.

BTW... Here is a YouTube video I posted about my 200. You might enjoy seeing it.

Lastly... What's your name? Mine is John and GPS's name is also John. Don't know where you plan to get your parts, but I think Al's in Medford probably has everything you need in stock.

Don't think I said it before, but welcome to the forum.

I don't own one of those, maybe Tiger knows, but on my 450 I made a Lexan plate that screwed onto the bottom of the broken frame, then screwed landing gear onto the new plate. Changing the frame out was over a 6 hour job for me, but the plate job was like 20 minutes.

Hi Joe! Tysons suggestions would work on many frames, but not really on this one. I had to look at mine along side the picture to see exactly what was happening. There really isn't anything to attach the lexan plate to. That entire area (see thumb sticking through) is totally open so there is nothing to attach to. Anything is possible, but it would be a lot better and a lot easier to replace the frame. Gluing won't work for sure. Replacing the frame looks a little intimidating, but when you get into it, you'll find it really isn't that hard. Just be sure to keep track of what screw goes where. :) Also, sometimes when I take something apart for the first time, I take a bunch of pictures to remind me of things. I usually don't use the pictures, but it's cheap insurance. :) Keeping the screws straight (various lengths) is the biggest challenge.

I was surprised when you said your servos were all good. Couldn't imagine a crash bad enough to take the frame, without taking some servos. They are one of the most vulnerable things on a heli so it's a good idea to have an extra one or two laying in wait. :)

Thank you tiger appreciate the help. I think if i get some better tools it might not be so intimidating, and yes you weretotally right about the servo it felt ok by hand but when i turnedon the radio it wouldnt move. The picture idea is a great i was thinking the same thing. Oh and the power increasewith your blades on the video was awesome great job !!!

Sounds good to me Joe. I'd love to do that. I have no idea where Pacifica is, but I'm sure we can connect some way. If you've already ordered your parts, maybe you can get it back together next weekend.

Sorry to hear it broke. Anything serious?
Someone once told me there are no RC helicopters that have not crashed.
