I'm building a new quad. I posted the motors and ESCs in another thread. Here it is so far.

Awesome looking setup! Really like those props. How big are they?

    The propellers are 15 inch.

In the ESC thread I posted you wrote that I shouldn't put the ESCs in the arms. I had intended to, and many others have done it this way. However I reached out to the ESC manufacturer and they also recommended I don't do that so I will be mounting them in the main body. Those long motor wires reach handily for mounting this way and servicing will be easier too. Each arm is mounted by two screws and large knobs so removing a arm is a piece of cake.

Next time you come to the field, I hope you bring that thing. I'd really like to see it. Looks awesome! Wish someone made props like that a little smaller.

If I'm not working this Sunday I will bring it to show you. I was hoping to fly it this week but I want to make a power terminal with lugs and bolts for my power distribution. Something like this:

I can use hardware store stuff but I may need a piece of Delrin to fasten the bolt terminals to. I am going to try and get to Radio Shack today and see if they have something readily available I can use.

I used a power distribution board like that in my GAUI 500X. I was thinking to use screw lugs on this one. I saw some interesting power terminals for high-power car stereo installations but those might be unnecessary weight.

The propellers are flying over the body a bit so I've decided to stretch the airframe to 1000 mm. This will allow even larger propellers if I want/need and also keep them well away from the canopy and camera.

Love the little power dist board. I've never seen one quite like that. Seems a little on the spendy side, but definitely nice. This is going to be one sweet rig you're building. How do you mount that board? Must be something on the bottom layer that I'm not seeing.

It has holes in the plates for mounting. I will use some standoffs with it.

Holy cow! I looked in the paper to see if you won the lottery, but didn't see anything. :) Sure are getting a lot of awesome toys.

The power distribution board arrived. It is really well packaged, almost like a Apple product.
On the bottom are the standoffs and they included what seems to be a heavy paper insulator.

EDIT: Correction - The blue paper isn't a insulator at all, it's a template for the standoff hole pattern.

No. I am thinking to build the Lightbridge into a F450 frame first.

Have you used the Lightbridge yet? Looks too good to be true.
My big question, is how it will mix with stuff we already have.
